Solid Colors or Flow Lighting — which one should I get?
Short version: Solid if you want one clean color and the brightest possible output. Flow if you want the light show. It adds phone app control, music-reactive sync and flowing chase effects.
Both are equally waterproof, install the same way, and carry the same guarantee.
Is underglow legal in my state?
It depends where you drive, and we'd rather you know before you buy than find out from an officer.
Most states allow underglow with restrictions on color and motion. Nearly everywhere, three rules hold: no red, no blue (both read as emergency vehicles), and nothing flashing or chasing while the car is moving.
Stricter states. Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, Maine and Washington restrict underglow on public roads. Several still allow it parked on private property or at shows. New York permits white only (sucks for us😔).
Your kit does every color including a steady white mode, so you can run compliant on the road and light it up when you park. Violations are typically a civil fix-it ticket, but cities can be stricter than the state, so check both.

Had these on for a few weeks now and honestly this might be my favorite thing I’ve done to the car for how little it cost. Install isn’t hard at all, just don’t rush it. I spent probably an hour figuring out where I wanted everything and hiding the wires so you can’t see anything hanging underneath. Once the sun goes down these things are BRIGHT. The chasing effects are sick and being able to change everything from my phone is way more convenient than carrying around some little remote. Already had a couple people ask me what kit I’m running. Definitely recommend it if you’re trying to make your car stand out at meets without spending crazy money.
I’ve always been 50/50 on underglow because when it’s done wrong it can look pretty bad, but I finally decided to try this kit and I’m glad I did. The biggest thing for me is how smooth the lighting looks instead of seeing a bunch of individual LEDs underneath the car. I usually leave mine on a solid color but some of the moving effects in the app are actually really cool for meets. Install was pretty easy, although I’d definitely recommend cleaning the mounting spots really well and taking your time with cable management. Once everything is tucked away you don’t notice the kit at all until you turn it on. At night it completely changes the look of the car. Easily a 5 star purchase for me.
Wasn’t sure how these were gonna look on my car because I didn’t want that cheap LED strip look, but these are actually clean af. Took my time running all the wires and wiped everything down with alcohol before mounting them and they’ve stayed solid. At night they’re insanely bright and the flowing patterns look way better in person than they do in the videos. App connected right away too and there’s a ton of different colors and modes to mess with. Completely changed how the car looks at night, especially when it’s parked with the lights reflecting off the pavement. For the price I really can’t complain.
I waited a while before reviewing these because I wanted to see how they actually held up instead of leaving a review the day I installed them. So far they’ve been through rain, some pretty nasty roads and a bunch of highway driving without giving me any problems. Installation took me a couple hours because I’m picky about wiring and wanted everything tucked away properly, but the actual setup is straightforward. They’re much brighter than I expected and the colors look really crisp at night. The animated modes are probably my favorite part because you can get a completely different look than the normal solid-color underglow everyone has. Really happy with them so far.
The products are fantastic easy to install but the size guide when I bought them was useless I stated it’s a regular sedan sized car and the size that arrived is at least 30cm short one the sides and the front and rear could do with being slightly bigger. I think if the company could rectify the size guide maybe with photos of the size car as I believe the kit I was sent is more sized for a smart car not a scirocco
Everything was easy to install. Only thing I didnt like is that there all the same length. So going to the rear was decent but couldn't go as far as I wanted it too.

Absolutely love this product. I love the level of freedom and control you get with the lights. You can pick solid colors, streaming, flashing, beats to the bass of your music, the list just goes on and on what you can do. Thoroughly and discrete installation done in about an hour. Love that you can pair it to your phone or use the remote, the option is yours. The wire quality is great. Nicely secured under the body but protected from the elements and glows so beautifully!

These have been installed on my Nissan Sentra SV for 2 months, fits perfectly. Took my friend about an 1hr 1/2 to 2hrs. Great quality and water resistant. The pictures display the highest light level. As you can see they’re super bright. The app has worked well, no issues. So far so good, love them!
Ok so I have been wanting to do this for a while now. I am waiting on my coilovers to arrive so I figured it would be easier to install before I lower the car. Boy I tell you what: these things are great. Install time took about 5 hours but I am extremely meticulous when it comes to things looking as factory as possible so I took my time with this. Over all I would say it turned out excellent.

The order of connecting the LED tape is different, so it doesn't fit my installation plan and I requested a return. I accepted the partial refund proposal, so I still have the item. If you can reconnect the wiring and resolve this issue, I would appreciate it.

It arrived perfectly without damage. . everything 100% good. . I ordered the lights without control, only with the app, and it works perfectly. . Before hanging and using the adhesive, clean well the part of the car chassis or where they will put the additional LED strip. If you can use ties or screws, it's better because the adhesive of the LED strip is not super good and with humidity, they can peel off. . Do not connect it to the battery because it is direct. I recommend that you connect the positive cable to a fuse in your car, it can be the one from the cigarette lighter or the one for the car's headlights. This way, when you start the vehicle, the lights will turn on and when you turn off the vehicle, the LED lights will still turn off. I leave you a photo of how they looked on my 2025 Toyota Fortuner.

Have not installed arrived yesterday, but very questionable on this product. Zero GlowMods logo or Branding of any kind, product looks like you can purchase from a flee market for 20-40 dollars, definitely makes sense why HardTune lighting costs more. You get what you pay for. Buyers research
I ordered the SUV/truck version for my Dodge Charger, assuming the longer option would reach from the front all the way to the back. The first order took nearly a month to arrive, and when I finally opened it, the wiring was too short and there was no proper mounting hardware—just a few zip ties. I contacted the seller, explained the issue, and they assured me a replacement had been double-checked to ensure it was the correct length. When the second shipment arrived, I measured before attempting another installation, and it still barely reached halfway to my front door—essentially the same problem. After two failed deliveries, missing hardware, and weeks of delays, I requested a full refund and a prepaid return label. In my experience, what is advertised does not match what arrives, so buyers should be cautious.

The underglow looks better in person than I expected. I turned the brightness down a little for a softer look. It is a small detail that changes the whole appearance.
